The average reading speed according to here is 200 to 400 words per minute. Taking the low end divided by 6 is still about 33 words every 10 seconds. So more accurately, by the time most people finished reading that line, Bolt would have been halfway through the race and given his “slow” reaction time, just about behind everybody else.
